A collaboration paper, “Proof-of-Principle Experiment for Testing Strong-Field Quantum Electrodynamics with Exotic Atoms: High Precision X-Ray Spectroscopy of Muonic Neon,” was published in Physical Review Letters 130, 173001.

The experiment used high-resolution x-ray spectroscopy of muonic neon to demonstrate a new route for testing bound-state QED in very strong electromagnetic fields. The work also established superconducting x-ray microcalorimetry as a powerful technique for precision spectroscopy of muonic atoms.
