KEK Wako Nuclear Science Center
Wako Nuclear Science Center (WNSC) is aimed at promoting nuclear physics and nuclear astrophysics researches as well as interdisciplinary researches in material science using short-lived radioactive nuclei, which are not existing in nature but artificially produced by the help of heavy-ion accelerators. This is a newly launched research center since 2015, of the Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies (IPNS), High-energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK) based on the synergy of a unique feature of KEK experimental apparatuses and world’s most RI-production ability of Riken RIBF facility.
