Title: Investigation of Extended Higgs Models

Abstract:

The Standard Model of particle physics has been established by the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012.

However, the nature of the Higgs boson has not been determined in detail. Therefore, extended Higgs models with different Higgs potentials are proposed to explain phenomena beyond the Standard Model. In this presentation, we report on the discrimination of various extended Higgs models through the Higgs boson trilinear couplings at the 1-loop level. We discuss the discrimination of these Higgs models at future colliders such as the High-Luminosity LHC and the International Linear Collider at 1 TeV.

Title: Laser Intensity Stabilization System of KAGRA for O4

Abstract:

The gravitational wave telescope KAGRA is based on the Michelson interferometer and has Fabry-Perot cavities in both arms. The arrival of a gravitational wave causes a difference in the length of the two arms, which changes the amount of light received by the photodetector, thereby observing gravitational waves. Since the amplitude of gravitational waves is very small, it is necessary to remove various noise sources in order to detect them. One of the noise sources is laser intensity fluctuation, and we are developing a system to reduce this intensity fluctuation (laser intensity stabilization system). Intensity Stabilization system (ISS) is a control system in which a part of the light entering the interferometer is extracted as a voltage signal by a photodetector PD and fed back negatively to the acousto-optic elements through a filter using Servo circuit.

In this presentation, I will give an overview of the ISS and discuss the new optical system and results in O4a

Title: Developing "1D+" simulation of core-collapse supernovae

Abstract:

Core-collapse supernova(CCSN) explosion is an explosion that occurs when a massive star dies. Researches into simulations of CCSN mechanism have succeeded in showing that such explosions are possible even in three-dimensional (3D) simulations. Theoretical studies of supernova explosions are moving on to the next step. One of the several efforts is the development of 1D+ simulation that can reproduce 3D simulation. 1D+ is expected to be an important tool for promoting collaboration with other research fields. I am developing 1D+ simulation that reproduces 3D by introducing a phenomenological model of multidimensional turbulent effects. As a result, our 1D+ can mimic the evolution of shock in 3D. In order to reproduce 3D more accurately in the future, I will conduct a detailed analysis of the 3D simulation and construct a theoretical model for the development of 1D+.  In my tolk, I will explain our 1D+ simulation model and examples of collaborations with other fields using 1D+.

Title: Modeling the Mass-Metallicity Relation with Dark Matter Halo Assembly from z=0–10

Abstract: Cosmic baryon cycling plays a crucial role in galaxy evolution. While direct observations of the gases involved in this process are particularly challenging in the distant universe, recent advancements in galaxy metallicity observations have provided us with indirect insights into these baryon cycling mechanisms. Our study aims to enhance our understanding of galaxy evolution by developing models that can self-consistently explain various observations including the mass-metallicity relation, ranging from the early universe to the present. In this talk, I will provide an overview of our preliminary results from this project.

Title: QCD preheating: New frontier of baryogenesis

Abstract:

We find that QCD can create the cosmological matter abundance via out-of

-equilibrium processes during the QCD phase transition, that is what we

call the QCD preheating, where the dynamic transition of the QCD vacuum

characterized by the quark condensate takes place instantaneously. This

mechanism works when the Universe undergoes subsequent supercooled QCD

transition. We also find that the QCD preheating can work to create the

baryon asymmetry of the Universe if there is the new physics

communicated with QCD. These are new pictures of the thermal history

around the QCD-phase transition epoch, and thus the dynamic aspect of

the QCD vacuum opens a new frontier to explore low-scale matter

generation such as baryogenesis. Pursuing the QCD reheating era would

also help deeply understanding the subatomic-scale physics in the

thermal history of the Universe.

Title: Gauge coupling unification in simplified grand gauge-Higgs unification

Abstract:

In this talk, I will talk about grand gauge-Higgs unification (GGHU) of five-dimensional SU(6) gauge theory compactified on an orbifold S^1/Z_2 with localized gauge kinetic terms. The SM fermions on the boundaries and some massive bulk fermions coupling to the SM fermions on the boundary are introduced. The number of bulk fermions is reduced to realize perturbative gauge coupling unification, which could not be done in the previous model. Although this reduction will lead to the additional generation mixings in the bulk which makes our analysis more complicated and nontrivial, the generation mixing of the SM fermions is reproduced in addition to the SM fermion mass hierarchy by mild tuning the bulk masses and parameters of the localized kinetic terms. Taking the power-law running contributions from the bulk fields into account, perturbative gauge coupling unification is shown to be realized at around 10^{14} GeV, which is a few orders smaller than the unification scale of four-dimensional grand unified theories.
