SSRI-PNS Collaboration
contact e-mail address: SSRI-PNS_contact@kek.jp
Send your Pre-Proposal and/or Letter of Intent (LoI),
if you are interested to perform physics subjects using
KISS, SLOWRI and GARIS facilities.
Itroduction
"SSRI-PNS" is an acronym of Stop and Slow RI user collaboration for Precise Nuclear Spectroscopy. Physics motivation shared in this collaboration is to explore ground / isomeric state properties by applying low-energy spectroscopy techniques, such as mass measurements, decay measurements, laser spectroscopy, and NMR spectroscopy. Major facilities and devices, we are now concerning to, are KISS (KEK Isotope Separation System), SLOWRI (SLOW RI beam facility), GARIS (GAs-filled Recoil Ion Separator), and MRTOF-MS (Multi-Reflection Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrograph) available in the RIBF.
Call for pre-proposal
We would like to solicit pre-proposals for expected experiments using KISS, SLOWRI, GARIS and MRTOF-MS. The purpose of the call is
- to provide suggestions to proponents to avoid confilict between experiments being proposed to RIBF-NPPAC,
- to promote improvements of contents based on the knowledge obtained so far,
- and to find out technical developments necessary for performing the experiments.
If you plan to submit a pre-proposal/LoI, please make contact with SSRI-PNS_contact@kek.jp at first, and discuss on the collaborations before submitting the pre-proposal/LoI.
Wefd like to ask you to give a presentation at the SSRI-PNS collaboration meeting.
Here are the form of Preproposal_form.docx and Preproposal_form.docx.
Schedule
May : Call for pre-proposal
Please make a contact to SSRI-PNS_contact@kek.jp,
    and discuss a possible collaboration.
July : Deadline of submission of the pre-proposals
August/September : SSRI-PNS collaboration meeting (a few days)
Based on your presentations, the steering committee will provide
their suggestions for the submission to the RIBF-NPPAC.
October : Deadline of submission of RIBF-NPPAC proposal
December : RIBF-NPPAC
If youfd like to submit a new proposal after the SSRI-PNS collaboration meeting, please contact to SSRI-PNS_contact@kek.jp as soon as possible.
The steering committee will discuss whether your proposal is an urgent program submitted to the next RIBF-NPPAC or is not an urgent program which will be discussed in the next yearfs collaboration meeting. Please note that this is a special procedure, NOT the usual procedure.
