(ABSTRACT)
I'll discuss two applications of chiral perturbation theory to
recently observed two states: X(3872) and pentaquark baryons.
(1) In the first part of my talk, it is pointed out that dipion
invariant mass spectrum in X(3872) ---> J/psi pi pi can be useful
to determine the J^{PC} quantum numbers of X(3872).
(2) Then, I'll construct chiral lagrangian involving pentaquark baryons,
ordinary baryons and Nambu-Goldstone bosons. And I discuss hadro/photo
productions of a pentaquark baryon $\Theta^+$ using our chiral lagrangian
and how to determine the parity of the enwly observed $\Theta^+$ baryon.
